Online System FAQ’s

Q: How do I get the mailing list delivered to me?

A: At the completion of your order, you will receive an email from our Online Count System that has an order number and a password. You simply go back to our Online Count website. In the top, middle section of the page, there is a gray tab titled “Download Orders.” You click on that tab and a new page comes up that has a space that is titled “Order Number” and another space that is titled “Password.” You input the corresponding Order Number and Password you had received in the email and click on the “Submit” button. Depending on the format and delivery options you selected during the ordering process, your order will be downloaded to the appropriate designation.

Q: What is the best format to receive my mailing list in?

A: There are 4 format delivery options available on our Online Count System: CSV (MS Excel), dBase III, ACSII, and comma delimited. The most common formats used are CSV and comma delimited because of the ease of manipulating the columns of information and the ease of importing the listing into other applications such as MS Word to format into labels. If you receive your listing in a format that your are not able to work with, you can simply contact one of data specialists for assistance at 1-877-241-2718.

Q: Can I have my mailing list printed on labels that I can peel off and place on my mail piece?

A: Certainly. During the ordering process, you can choose to have the mailing list delivered to you electronically, downloaded to your desktop, or printed on peel & stick labels that are delivered to an address you designate, or you can receive it both ways. There are additional charges that apply when ordering labels. Due to shipping restrictions, labels cannot be shipped to a PO Box address.

Q: Am I obligated to order the searches I perform?

A: No, there is no obligation to order any searches you perform on our Online Count System. Orders are only completed after you are ready, have input all of the necessary company and credit card information, and have clicked on the “Submit Order” button. All searches are saved in the “Fly Solo” version of the Online Count System only.

Q: Which version of the system do I need to use, “Basic” or “Fly Solo?”

A: The version that you chose to you depends on several factors. First is how comfortable you are navigating through a website. The “Basic” version guides you through the decision process of developing your listing and limits the number of options available to choose. The “Fly Solo” version provides all of the options and selectable criteria that each database has to offer. Secondly, it depends on how many mailing list you purchase in a given amount of time, if you need to save your searches. The “Basic” version does not require you to identify yourself to the system which in turn does not allow you to save any searches you may perform. The “Fly Solo” version requires you to register your name and company and assign a User Name and password, which you make up, to identify you each time you come to the system. This allows the system to keep track of all your previous searches and orders so that you may suppress them against any future searches or orders.

Q: Do telephone numbers come with my mailing list?

A: Telephone numbers are available with almost every database we have available. However, you must select that you would like the telephone number to be output on your listing. Only the title, name, or business name with the complete mail able address is output on the listing unless you select additional criteria in the “Additional Selections” tab.
